The Filzstein hiking tip: Krimml waterfalls and Krimml Achental

The Krimml waterfalls, which you can see from the sun terrace of our alpine inn, are a worthwhile hiking destination. Along the highest waterfalls in Europe, a steep path leads you up to the entrance in the Achental valley. After the last step of the waterfall trail, the route becomes flat and the valley with its alpine meadows and mountain peaks spreads out before you. Here you will find more information about the regions Gerlos, Krimml and Hochkrimml.

Hiking without detours: Starting point Alpengasthof Filzstein

Explore the surroundings of your holiday residence just right out of the front door: Hike the trail no. 13 up to the Plattenkogel or take a stroll over to the Duxeralm and on to Plattenalm. Particularly attractive: the hike to lake Seekarsee, a reservoir that blends harmoniously into the mountain landscape.

Close to nature in Krimml / Hochkrimml on the Gerlos Platte

We were inspired by the materials felt & stone during the reconstruction, renovation and redesign of our alpine guesthouse. Everywhere in the hotel you will find the connection with the alpine and mountain world of Hochkrimml and Gerlosplatte - the windows close to the ground in the new suites, the winter garden and the sun terrace will bring you very close to nature.

Mobile hiking holidays in Salzburg and Tyrol

Many starting points for hikes and mountain tours can be reached by car.
